After a good nights sleep with not too much noise from the club I woke to sunshine and the the leaves rustling and as I was going with Rob to watch Ipswich play Preston later in the afternoon I decided to go out early.So after rigging 8.5 on the cat again I was on the water by 7.30.I attemped the round Island trip again as the wind was stronger than yesterday but the first part to the harbour was a beat and by the time I neared the Strood I ran out of water so had to beat back!!!! I had some good reaches across to Bradwell and towards Brightlingsea but the wind was increasing and the 8.5 was abit of a handfull and it was getting abit choppy in the middle and the tide was low, so after 2hrs 39mins of sailing in the sun I returned for breakfast.As we left Mersea afew kiters and windsurfers were out but it had started to rain which lasted all afternoon - good trip to the Island,shame Ipswich were v poor !!!!
